A Quick Question about Wal Mart

Why does Wal Mart refuse to sell music CDs with Parental Advisory labels on them and at the same time sell R rated movies? It seems like a strange double standard, that's all.

I have heard rumors that Walmart censors the movies they sell. I'm not sure just how possible that is, though. Assuming that it's not, though, it is pretty funny that it's possible to buy a movie from Walmart that might graphically show a sex scene, but not possible to buy a CD that graphically describes one.

There is (was?) a Christian(?) group out there that edits down movies to remove the sex and swearing (and some of the violence... interestingly, sex and swearing is always worse than violence) in movies and release them. The organization got sued by the movie industry for copyright infringement (though I believe they did try to keep to the spirit of the law... they bought a complete version of the movie for every edited version they sold or something). I'm actually of mixed views about this.

I am pretty sure that Wal Mart doesn't edit the movies, though. But I do know that many music labels do edited versions of their parental advisory cds just so Wal Mart will carry them. They're that big a piece of the pie.
